The artist
Selwin Davila
Selwin Davila works from Selwin Davila Makeup Studio in Iloilo, travelling to venues across the region. Most of a session is spent on skin — the part of the work no one photographs, and the part everything else depends on.
The approach is deliberately restrained: work that reads beautifully on camera and still resembles the person wearing it. The photographs should look like the day, not like a transformation.
